Mountain Biking

Mountain biking is the primary activity of the RATS Cycling Club .  The club aims to build strong relationships with local councils and other stake-holders to promote the development and maintenance of MTB trails in South-East Queensland and to assist individuals to develop as riders. The club works closely with Redland City Council and Logan City Council as well as the Department of Parks and Forests to promote mountain biking as a healthy, family-oriented and environmentally friendly recreation activity and sport.

Part of the club’s activity involves running annual events including the Chicks in the Sticks women-only enduro, the Bayview Blast XCM event and the Summer Sprints series. The RATS strongly support women’s cycling, with separate women’s racing presented through the year and women-only social rides.
