Mountain biking isn’t just something we do at the RATS Cycling Club — it’s who we are.

We’re here to build community and better trails across South-East Queensland. At the heart of our mission is a commitment to working hand-in-hand with local councils, land managers and industry partners to create and maintain awesome places to ride.

Whether you’re brand new to the sport or already chasing podiums, we’re here to help you grow, progress and have a blast on the bike.

Our partnerships with Redland City Council, Logan City Council and the Department of Parks and Forests allow us to champion mountain biking as a healthy, family-friendly, environmentally responsible way to get outside and enjoy nature.

Together, we’re helping shape a vibrant future for MTB in the region — one trail, one event, one rider at a time.

Events are a huge part of the RATS identity.

Each year we roll out a full calendar of action, including Chicks in the Sticks, our flagship women-only enduro that celebrates fun, confidence and female progression in the sport; the Bayview Blast, a premier endurance event that attracts riders from across the state; and the Summer Sprints series, offering fast, accessible racing for riders of all levels looking to improve and soak up the race atmosphere.

We’re especially passionate about lifting up women in mountain biking. With dedicated women’s racing, women-only social rides and a super-supportive community behind them, female riders have every opportunity to discover the sport, push their limits and ride with confidence.
